This medium-sized trogon actions as many as 33 cm lengthy and is also the sole trogon in Borneo by using a purple head and diagnostic (a distinct characteristic) on the male. The male Whitehead’s trogon also features a blue bill and orbital rings, black throat, gray breast and purple belly.
